"Here in a little part of Iraq it is very, very, hot. Today it reached 122 degrees and it's supposed to get hotter. The dust storms have been kicking up quite often but we continue to push forward in hopes that one day soon we will all get to go home to our loved ones. We are a BlackHawk unit that continues to fly and transport troops throughout Iraq. Once again thank you for your packages and appreciate your letters. The troops salute you all and what you do. Volunteer Ops
Bristol-Myers Squibb employees - more than three dozen - volunteered to work the First Base concession stand at TD Bank Ball park on 7/19/11 to help OPSHBX NJ raise money.
One of the most rewarding – and critical – volunteer opportunities occur Saturdays and Sundays 9:30 am-3:30 p.m. throughout the year. That’s when OPSHBX NJ volunteers can be found in front of supermarkets where we hand out a short list of items needed as shoppers enter the store and collect the donated items as they exit.
It’s simple, it’s fun and you’re helping to ensure our troops continue to receive care packages from home. Dates and locations are listed below.
Helping to collect supplies is a great service project; thousands of community service hours have been earned by Scouts, CCD students, high school honor society students and college students. It’s ideal for families, clubs and organizations. Work all or part of the day. Call (908) 698-0333 to sign up!
