E-Mail from Ensign Jeffrey Brill

Recently I received a couple shoeboxes from your organization and the students at Frelinghuysen Middle School. It is hard to express in words the exact meaning this gesture had on my coworkers and me. I am stationed in Bahrain and work in a high intensity, extremely high speed environment. We have to endure many joys and heart races being a forward deployed SEAL unit in a theater that is mostly at war. Any time there is a relief or form of distraction, for even a minute time, has striking effects on the entire unit. The packages sent by these children and other supporters from home have the power to stop everything going on, no matter how crucial, and put a sensational smile of optimism on everyone's face as each parcel gets opened. Jokes, conversation, horse-play, all are reactions that these boxes bring that help break the mental demands and monotony of the daily life a soldier faces at war. My coworkers and I wish to express a colossal thank you and are grateful for the packages. Thank you, Ensign Jeffrey Brill and the men and women at Naval Special Warfare Unit Three NSWU-3
