3/27/2008 My name is SGT Kevin Harper, and I want to send this email as a pre Thank You to everyone I have received items from. This isn’t my first deployment here to Iraq, and I have received a box before. I am sorry to say that I didn’t make time to send you a Thank You last deployment. I have recently married before the start of this deployment; my current wife has opened my eyes to the little things I was passing by. I will give just a little information about myself before I proceed on with the letter. I am a father of 4 boys and currently assigned with the 161st Field Artillery, Army National Guard of Kansas. I am sending this so hopefully you will receive this email before your next shipment as I am enclosing an address and a list of names of some of the guys here in my unit that haven’t received a lot of mail since we have been here. Please add them to your mailing list, as we will be here until late November. I have heard great things about Operation Shoebox New Jersey and in the letter that accompanied the last box stated to send names.
