Ms. Kean,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for your school’s generous gifts to “any Marine.” The clean socks and candy always are appreciated, but the most fun is always seeing the letters from the kids.
We are a Marine Huey and Cobra helicopter squadron flying out of Al Asad, Iraq. There are about 250 Marines in the squadron. We provide Escort, Reconnaissance and Close Air Support to Marines and soldiers in the Al Anbar province.
I want to again thank you for taking the time to send these packages. The support from home is probably the single biggest factor in our morale and success. I know that this was both an expensive and time-consuming project for you.
