E-Mail from Maj Mark Molitor
Team Shoebox
I just wanted to drop you all a line and say thanks. One of the guys in my office received a couple of your boxes today in the mail and we were pleasantly surprised with all of the items in the boxes. With all of the bad news we read about, it is refreshing to know that Americans like you all continue to support the troops over here.
With that said, I am somewhat embarrassed to accept your items in that, we here at Victory Base have a pretty good standard of living for being deployed (although I am looking forward to not having to trek 100 yards through gravel to use the latrine at night). Recently a friend of mine asked me to find her a platoon to sponsor so I contacted a former commander of mine who is a big shot over in Afghanistan and he provided me with the address and names of a platoon of Sappers. These guys are living in less than good conditions, and their primary mission is to search for and disable the IEDs that are really taking a toll on our forces over there.
I think these guys would highly appreciate anything you could send their way. Just remember, it is an all male platoon so the feminine articles are not needed.
If you all have a mailing list, can you add these guys to it
