Operation Shoebox NJ, Girl Scouts of the Star Valley, parents, students and residents of Alpha,
On behalf of myself and all the soldiers here in FOB Delta, Iraq, we would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. After seven years of fighting the war on terrorism it's great to see that Operation Shoebox New Jersey is as strong as ever. Your supplies and financial support and tens of thousands of packages throughout the combat zone will undoubtedly bring smiles to the troops.
Here in a little part of Iraq it is very, very, hot. Today it reached 122 degrees and it's supposed to get hotter. The dust storms have been kicking up quite often but we continue to push forward in hopes that one day soon we will all get to go home to our loved ones.
We are a BlackHawk unit that continues to fly and transport troops throughout Iraq. I will email some pictures of our unit. Once again thank you for your packages and appreciate your letters. The troops salute you all and what you do. God Speed.
