Dear Operation Shoebox New Jersey and Families of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, I would like to take the time to thank you for your care packages sent the soldiers, non-commissioned officers and officers of the U.S. Army deployed overseas. You have no idea how nice it is to receive these packages of personal hygiene products, Girl Scout cookies and other goodies. It provides a little taste of home every time we receive them. In the desert it isn't always so bad if you don't mind the heat and dust. We get hot chow, three meals a day, and the food isn't all that bad, neither is the work as a matter of fact, especially knowing the people back home support us. Sincerely, Chad Koenig Capt.
