Letter from 1st Sgt David F. Moore
Dec. 12, 2008
Dear Operation Shoebox New Jersey,
On behalf of the soldiers, sailors, airmen of the 50th Infantry Brigade Combat Team's (50th IBCT) Joint Area Support Group-Central, I take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation of you and your organization's support during this holiday season when so many military personnel are far away from home.
The support packages that you and your volunteers sent to this military organization over the holiday season were distributed to military personnel who serve in three different locations in the capital of this country - the Embassy Annex, as well as two forward operating bases named Prosperity and Union III.
We received so many packages of holiday support that some of them were sent to personnel stationed at Camp Bucca and Camp Cropper, Iraq as well.
It is through the support of individuals and organizations such as Operation Shoebox New Jersey that we appreciate knowing that Americans stand with us to keep America safe.
Finally, thank you for supporting nearly 3,2000 soldiers of the New Jersey National Guard 50th IBCT and the sailors and airmen now serving with this joint organization on active duty in Iraq.
David F. Moore
