Operation Shoebox,
I would like to thank you all on the behalf of my
Marines for all that you have sent to us and to other servicemen and women here in Iraq.
It warms my heart greatly to see so many Americans
out there that are doing so much for us over here. It's people like you who remind us everyday of why we joined the military. With all of the negative news reporting and defeatist comments that my Marines see on the news, it really hurts morale at times so to see the support of those back home means everything to these Marines here.
I have attached a
small photo of some of my Marines saying thank you for everything that you all do. Unfortunately we are unable to bring all of our Marines
together due to operational commitments to say thanks but believe me if
they could they would.
Well take care; you
are all "Great Americans". God Bless and keep up the good work.
Semper Fi,
1s tSgt Russell A. Strack
