Letter from Captain James

Dear Rod and parishioners of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Many thanks for theh personal care gift. Your box was received by an American officer here at NATO headquarters in Kabul. The American officer was generous enough to share the contents with the rest of us, including Australians (of which I am one), Germans, Dutch, Poles, Brits, Kiwis and others. Your package was quite a morale booster for all of us and it is truly great to see and experience the level of support US servicemen and woemn receive from those back home. It was also an opportunity for me to sample just a small part of what the American culture has to offer. Please accept my apologies for not writing sooner to thank you for the very real and material support you provide your troops overseas. Your package was received in November, 2010 and I left shortly after to return to Australia following the conclusion of my tour. However the American officer who received your package remains in Afghanistan until April, 2011. Many thanks again for your great support and please keep them coming for those still deployed. They are greatly appreciated. Take care and God Bless. Captain James Melbourne, Australia
