Letter from Major Eric J. Albertson

May 15, 2008 Dear Everyone with Operation Shoebox New Jersey and the students from Bernards High School: Thank you for your many care packages filled with items for the soldiers. They have been distributed to our troops who greatly appreciate receiving them. Such support goes a long way to keeping their spirits high and helps to remind them they are not forgotten. The mission here is more successful with each passing day. Unfortunately, there is still fighting in some areas, and so the soldiers have some pretty dangerous work from time to time. They are very brave during such times and you should know that support like yours inspires them to keep up the fight, even when it is difficult. Enclosed you will find a disk with a photo Journal* I put together. It is one more way to say thank you for your gift of time and contribution that went into all the individual care packages you sent. Photography is a hobby of mine and my tour here provides a unique opportunity to capture some of our experiences. It also provides you with a window into the world of the Troops you have so kindly supported. May God bless you for your generosity and thoughtfulness. Sincerely, Major Eric J. Albertson Chaplain Camp Victory Baghdad, Iraq * SEE PHOTO JOURNAL ON OUR ALBUM PAGE
